Gas company

Absolutely terrible refill service, the last 3 refill attempts haven’t gone smoothly at all. We are on a scheduled delivery service and every 3 months. The last 12 months I’ve been dealing with failed deliveries (at least 3 in a row each time) leaving us to run extremely low on gas - less than 1/6 tank in our last remaining cylinder. I’m experiencing this again right now with 3 more attempts at this delivery. I don’t want to run out of gas, like I don’t want to run out of fuel??? And not to mention the customer service has been abrupt and defensive - I simply just want to not have to worry about running out of gas.Thank fully I’ve been checking after each “delivery” to confirm it hasn’t actually happened - because I’ve received no communication from Elgas to say it didn’t occur.

By far the most irresponsible company I have ever dealt with. They have zero absolutely zero customer service and product availability. Managers half asleep on a escalation and they genuinely don’t care about their customers. We are out of gas since Thursday and they did not refill in time and since then we are stuck without hot water or cooking in this festive season. Absolutely no regard for their customers. You should hear them over the phone. Script reading disappointing humans with no care. What a shame this company is really. Reporting them to the Energy Ombudsman today.

Don't recommend - what was meant to be easy and hustle free it turned into a nightmare of confusion and over 2 hours of phone calls. Easier if you do it yourself.

Great service - Charlie Thornton listened carefully, came back with two good options for each of gas and electricity. He gave us all the information I needed to do some peak, shoulder, off peak calculations and found better feed in tariffs for our solar power./ All up we saved about $80 per month.

Have met one of their plumbers as he was doing a job at my mum's place. Took quite some time due to them being very busy and unforeseen difficulties with replacing a part. Bad time of the year for heating to break down but it's fortunate that it was only an inconvenience for Mum and her house guest for one night or so.

Easy to use website (if you have internet access); good delivery record and debates if last gas bottles have been full (where as in the past this may have been debatable) ... Elgas have lifted their game :)

It was connected three days after applying for electricity to this company. Therefore, my house spent three days in winter without electricity. They said went an employee to my house,but they went back and doing nothing twice.I felt like this is a poor country. in Canberra? They made us spend three days in the dark.I don't recommend this company to anyone who needs electricity urgently.

Make sure you get the receptionist did they don't did up your order details if you're first time customer. Cost me big money thanks to old mate.

What happens to a full gas cylinder when you move to a new a location? Do I get a refund? Answer: I highly suggest you to talk to the new owner as it is out of our control after we have delivered the gas bottle". Thus they come to collect the full bottle
